www.anthro.world<\/a><\/p>\nNow we are plunging into the apocalypse on today's Michaelmas. This is particularly fitting for our theme, because it is actually very much about strengthening the Michaelic powers in order to go through the trials that are also coming our way. Last time we spoke very clearly about the fact that the spiritual path that leads into the future is not always an easy path, but that there are also difficult tasks to overcome, that it also has to do with suffering in the broadest sense. So one suffers something. Last time I tried to discuss in detail how this is to be understood. There I drew attention to an important point: one should not imagine that one is constantly being punished with beatings, that is not what is meant at all, but something much more absurd or seemingly absurd is meant. It is about the suffering that one voluntarily seeks out oneself. That is, looking into things that one would like to go around, perhaps, or could go around. But if you are spiritually striving or want to work on the future, you don't take this diversions, but look, ok, there is something wrong! We have to do something, I have to make an effort. That's a big difference from a lot of other esoteric currents that exist, where the focus is actually on joy, happiness, beauty, light, which of course is ultimately the goal on the apocalyptic path, but where it is very conscious that you really have to go through the darkness first.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nSo today it is about illuminating this darkness with spiritual light. That is the essential task. This is the battle that Michael first waged with the dragon. We are also in the Michael Age. The fall of the Ahrimanic dragon took place at the end of the 19th century, in November 1879. This is how R. Steiner describes it exactly. So that's where it begins. If you then look at how the whole 20th century has developed, you notice, ok, the fall of the dragon on the earth first of all left a devastation on the earth. That's the first thing. Michael in a way defeats the dragon, but the result is: he walks among us! In the middle of us or under our feet, whatever. But we have to deal with it now. The whole thing was exacerbated around the turn of the millennium, we will go into this more intensively in the later lectures, but there is the ominous number 666, which points to something evil. If you multiply this number by 3, i.e. a threefold repetition of this number, then you arrive at the year 1998.<\/p>\n
Whenever there are numbers like this, where the 666 is hidden, great challenges begin. We are now standing in this time, in these great challenges. But we are strengthened on the one hand by the power of Christ in us, which works or can work through the I, if we want it, and we have the support of Michael, this fiery Michael, who has the sword of flame, so to speak, the sword of fire, which basically strengthens the power of the I and which we must use. This is especially true every year in the Michaelmas period, that we can remember to direct this flaming sword, this fiery sword, which we actually are ourselves, against the dark forces in order to keep them in check. That is one thing.<\/p>\n
The other thing is that we have become aware of these adversary forces, these dark ahrimanic forces, as R. Steiner calls them, that they also have a task, that we have to mature in the confrontation with them and that the ultimate goal is to redeem them, i.e. to release them from their task as adversaries. Because actually they themselves also suffer from this task. Because they are thereby deprived of possibilities which they would otherwise have and which they do not have now, because they simply have to be adversaries. They did not become adversaries of their own free will, as R. Steiner always says so nonchalantly: They were ordered to do this task. So it was not their free decision, especially with the Ahrimanic forces. They suffer from it and they know that they have this task because of us, because of man. Therefore, in truth, they are not quite comfortable with man. Not true, in a certain way they therefore do not quite trust him, but they know their only chance is: I try to draw man into my kingdom. They know, somehow they have to get a connection with the people.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nAnd the future development will be very much oriented towards the fact that the ahrimanic forces will try to connect with us, namely to really connect more and more, which I also discussed in more detail last time, there will be very much about technology, where man will be more and more connected with technology. That has positive and negative sides. It is not only negative. It also has positive sides. And above all, as R. Steiner clearly says, we will not escape it. That is, something will come, but it will be up to us whether this development is wholesome or not. That is the situation we are in. To become aware of this is to take on a certain amount of suffering. Because this is actually dramatic, what is coming.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nIt is easier, perhaps, to see the blessings that all this will bring, because it must be said that the Ahrimanic forces do not want to fight us. They don't want to do us any harm. They don't actually know what good and evil is. Ahriman doesn't really know, but in principle he wants to create a perfect world, a perfect earthly world. And in that world people should basically feel good. It's interesting how in literature, as I mentioned last time, people became aware of this in the 20th century. A novel that describes this very well is by Aldous Huxley: \"Brave New World\". He describes a future world in which people are basically born according to measurements, and there is even a certain caste system. But it is built in such a way that everyone is happy in his or her caste. There are the simple workers, these are the epsilons, that's the lowest class, then it goes up to the alphas, they have the leadership class. But everyone is perfectly happy in their own sphere and if things don't quite work out somewhere, then there's a pill or a potion that cheers the mind up again and everything is fine and dandy, everyone is happy. But everything is also quite superficial. No spiritual development. Nothing!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nLet's think about it for a moment: What would a life be like where we were happy from morning till night? Goethe already had an answer to that because he says: \"Nothing is harder to bear than a series of happy days.\"<\/i> Isn't it true that living only in happiness takes us away from our actual human task and our human possibilities. Where we ourselves, through our own creative power, through effort, through energy, want to do something that really changes the world. That is the potential we have within us. As human beings, we are first of all creators of ourselves, at least as far as the I is concerned. Not true, our I is that which creates itself. That was once given to us as an impulse, as an ignition spark, so to speak. But from the moment we have grasped the I with the first incarnation on earth - and that was a long time ago - we create ourselves. We create ourselves in the core of our being. There we are no longer creatures, but creators. And the path of the human being goes towards expanding this more and more. To ever larger areas.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nWe are already - yes, also since the first incarnation on earth - co-creatively active in the earth's development. How the earth develops depends essentially on how we develop spiritually. And we change the earth not only through our external deeds, by using tools and changing nature etc., but above all - and in a much larger dimension - through what we develop spiritually. It is true that externally we work above all on the earth when we are incarnated on earth, of course, there is no other way, but spiritually we work above all very strongly in the life after death, before we descend again to a new birth. There, we essentially work on how the earth will be when we are born again. In other words, we create the next incarnation conditions ourselves in a certain way. We have been doing this for a long time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nThe effects on the earth, on the whole, if you look at it from a slightly higher perspective, are in some ways catastrophic. I said this last time. We are talking about this today: Man is destroying nature, he is destroying the animal kingdom, species extinction is occurring, etc. You can follow this today, this has been going on since the first humans came to earth. When the first humans migrated somewhere, 70 - 80 % of the larger animal species died out there. This has already been the case for 30,000 - 40,000 years. Deto plant life, it too has collapses and changes. Just think how we have changed the plant world today, everything, no, I don't want to say everything, but a lot is full of wheat or rye fields or anything. It used to be insignificant grass in nature. Today the biggest cultivated areas are full of that. That accounts for far more than all the other vegetation already. So, man is doing a lot to change the world. This affects the fish in the water, through the fact that we fish, etc.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nAnd in addition to that, there is the effect of what we have spiritually on the development of the earth when we go through the spiritual world after death. What can one say about this? One can only say one thing about it: man and earth belong together in their development. And it is not in itself a catastrophe that animal species are now disappearing. Perhaps other new ones are emerging. Even in the case of animal species, if you look at what large animals are, so from the size of a pig or so, dog for all I care, today 80 % or maybe even more, of the large animals are all animals that we call pets. The free-living wild animals, their share is now very small. That has declined. In other words, we are also transforming the animal world so that it actually becomes an animal world assigned to us.<\/p>\n
In the past, before we really incarnated in the physical form that we have today, we spiritually put out of our being, for example, the animal world, the plant world, even the mineral world, because these were forces that we would not yet have been able to cope with. Now we are developing further. Transforming the whole animal world. Also through what we do externally. And at the end of the earth's development we will take it all back into ourselves. But the whole animal world that we then take into ourselves will be quite different from what it was at the beginning. In other words, it is right and positive in a certain way that, for example, all the dinosaurs died out at the end of the Earth's Middle Ages. Imagine if they were still walking around today. First of all, it would not have been a suitable world for the dinosaurs, and for us it would not have been the world in which we could have developed into free self-aware beings. For us humans to be able to stand up in the form we have today, to be able to move our arms freely, for us then to have developed language, to have developed thinking, the dinosaurs had to die out for that. That is imperative! We must not imagine that humans could have developed alongside the dinosaurs in the form we have today. Either we would have a dinosaur world or we would have one where there are also humans. That simply has to be said openly. So that there is no false romanticism, yes, we will preserve everything, everything will remain as it is outside. No, it won't stay, nothing will stay as it is.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nAnd this change in nature will also take place outside relatively quickly, because - as I said last time and the time before last - we are moving at a hellish pace at the moment with our human development, which is, however, very strongly connected with the development of the earth. I say at a hellish pace because the adversaries are also very much involved. What we can and must do for nature and what is our responsibility is that the transformation of nature runs in the right sense and not one-sidedly in the sense of Ahriman, i.e. these mechanising killing non-creative forces. Not true, the Ahriman is the one who is actually spiritually non-productive. He is highly intelligent and because of that he can deceive us, his intelligence is much greater than ours, at least as far as the outer intelligence is concerned, but where it really concerns the spiritually creative, there he has nothing at all. He suspects it somewhere. He senses it somewhere and he also senses that man has exactly that. And that's what distinguishes us.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nThat is to say, we must not allow any development that goes unilaterally towards mechanising the whole earth in the sense of Ahriman, to turn it into a great wheelwork. It will not be possible to prevent this entirely. R. Steiner himself says: \"The earth will turn into a self-acting electrical apparatus.\"<\/i> That is one side. Part of it will become reality. The other side is that we as human beings have the potential to create a new nature at the same time, which can actually no longer be called nature, but rather a nature of the future. Cultural landscape<\/b>. This concerns everything. It concerns the animal kingdom, the plant kingdom, the mineral kingdom. And the spiritual task of man on earth is completed when the whole earth has been transformed by us. Of course, many higher spiritual beings help with this. But the decisive thing is that we determine or it is up to us what will happen. They give us the forces that are necessary to implement this, but the direction in which the development goes is our responsibility alone. I.e. there is no one else who is responsible for the earth but us. Provided we do not leave the game to Ahriman unilaterally. But recognise, yes, he is also necessary, but he must not gain the upper hand unilaterally. So we have to do both, on the one hand we have to keep him in check, but on the other hand we have to ally ourselves with him where it is appropriate.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nThe idyll of the future will not be a primeval landscape as it once was in the past. The future will be a cultural landscape. This concerns our earth. But what the next cosmic-planetary incarnation of our entire Earth will look like will also depend on this. We have often talked about the fact that the earth itself goes through incarnations to a certain extent. That three have preceded our present Earth and that three more will follow in the future. The Apocalypse of John points to the next incarnation of our earth or our earth-cosmos with the New Jerusalem that is mentioned there - we will talk about that later. I say Earth Cosmos<\/b>because we think of it as very big. This refers to the whole cosmos that surrounds us. The cosmos as it is today, if you think big, that is the earth cosmos. Everything belongs to it. All the millions, billions, quadrillions of stars that are out there. They were not once and will not be again. And yet development will continue. This is an area that natural science cannot see into, because it can only survey the present physical cosmos. It can feel its way to the beginning and how it will end, we still have little idea. There are at most speculations. In truth, there is only speculation about the beginning, because we were not there on the outside, but we were there spiritually.<\/p>\n
Z. For example, in the cosmos that preceded our earth, there were no laws of nature such as we have today, such as physics can recognise. In other words, a world that was not regulated by laws in our modern sense. It was much more chaotic and could not have been predicted at all. Today we have laws of nature that make the world predictable to a certain extent, but we still have enough chaos inside. And that is also necessary, because imagine if everything were predetermined and predictable, then freedom would of course also be over. Then everything that happens in the world would be fixed from the beginning. On the other hand, we would not be able to develop freedom in a completely chaotic world. Where one cannot rely on what I have decided to do today, that tomorrow it will still be the same laws, but everything will be completely different. It wouldn't work like that. We wouldn't be able to find our way at all. These are very difficult thoughts. So we are glad that today, on the one hand, there are the very rigid laws of nature, they are very rigid, that is actually something that died first, that gives us a certain solid ground. Basically, the laws of nature are something like a dead spiritual that is no longer creative. That is, so to speak, what sustains the material world today. It doesn't change because of that. Gravity always works according to the same law. It is not like this today and different tomorrow, it is not like we suddenly float up to the ceiling tomorrow and fly out the window the day after tomorrow, that would be somehow impractical, we wouldn't find each other. So that's good. And Ahriman is also involved, of course he is already working there. But these laws only exist now during our earth's development.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nOn the next planetary incarnation, the so-called New Jerusalem or the New Jupiter, as R. Steiner calls it, things will be quite different again. There will be a completely different fundamental law. But a living one. Namely that Law of love<\/b>. Just as the laws of nature regulate and govern the world today, the principle of love will then be what shapes nature, what shapes the world. We cannot even imagine today how that will be. We will not discuss this in detail today. Perhaps at the end of the lectures somewhere. Love should not be understood as just any human feeling, but as something much greater. Love is the creative force par excellence. The free creative force. Freedom, love, I-power, these are virtually synonyms. The I can only love. It can only love its neighbour as itself. It must also be able to love itself. Because by loving itself, it shapes itself anew at every moment. And what it creates, it is always ready to give away to the world. That is the essence of creative activity. Creating something out of nothing and giving it away. And to become ever more creatively powerful precisely through this process. That is what is within our free I. And to do this out of our individual impulse. Not because anyone dictates it to us. But completely individually.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nAnd now, however, something else is added. That we give it to the others, namely to the other spiritual beings, thus in particular also to the other human beings and that we also absorb the impulses of the others, take them in love and transform them in us and thereby make them our own in the truest sense of the word. Namely, not as a possession, but as a creative force now individualised by us in a completely new way. That is to say, we actually receive the stimulation from others, make something new out of it ourselves and pass it on to other people, to nature, i.e. to the animals, to the plants, right down to the minerals. In other words, we are now learning to transform the earth out of love during the development of the earth - and we are learning to do this together as humanity. No one can do this alone. The forces of all human beings must flow together. They must form a harmonious or - if the adversaries interfere too much - less harmonious whole. That is the art. And that is something that seems downright impossible and unbelievable. Millions, billions of people there are, aren't there, we have well over 7 or 8 billion people on earth today, you have to reckon that there are at least twice as many in the spiritual world. At least! Probably even more. It is difficult to estimate, because at the moment the incarnations are very dense, that is, people pass through the spiritual world only a very short time after death, and incarnate after only 20, 30 or 50 years, it has never been so close and it will become even closer. That's why I said acceleration, full throttle. At the moment we are travelling at full throttle on the motorway with our eyes closed to boot. That is the problem. We have to open our eyes mentally.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nSo what has to come out is that the creative impulses of all these people, which everyone grasps individually, where no one can basically replace the other, if one leaves out with his impulse, then he is just missing, the end. No one else can take his place. The other person can bring his impulse. The more people break out of it or give little impulse, the more the earth will miss it. Already now during the development of the earth. But above all, it will be missing as a basic force in nature in the New Jerusalem or on the New Jupiter, the next cosmic embodiment. In other words, how this world will function, how this principle of love will function there, which will then drive this world, one could say, depends on us already now. Until the turn of time we were prepared for this task, until the beginning of modern times we started to learn, we are of course still in the process of learning, but basically we should now slowly take the Matura, the great human Matura, and go out and say, ok, we are now the ones who are working on the world. And that concerns spiritual work, but it also concerns external activity, which is not mindless, or at least should not be. And that is the impulse that is at stake. And where we deviate from it just a little bit, we should actually become bitterly sad and suffer from it when we become aware of it. Not that we feel sorry for ourselves. But we see that it is up to us and if we fail to do something, then something is missing. And we need much greater efforts, perhaps, to make up for something we missed yesterday tomorrow. It doesn't get easier. It becomes more difficult. Because the right time has simply been missed. This is what is meant by suffering. Self-consciously becoming aware of it out of freedom, taking it to heart and making every effort to do it as well as possible.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nAnd the Lord Ahriman is the one who promises us absolute happiness. And he can! The point is, he can. When we see our task and say, \"No! Why should I exert myself?\" The Lord Ahriman will succeed in the not so distant future in offering man absolute happiness on earth. From birth to the last hour. I don't say to the last minute, but to the last hour at least. And the temptation is very great. Our culture is growing very much in the direction of being or wanting to be a culture of happiness. And you can understand that, who voluntarily says: \"No, happy? No, I don't want to be happy all the time!\" Who says that? If you ask someone, would you rather suffer or be happy? Who won't say, \"I'd rather be happy.\" The point is, if that becomes too one-sided, then our spiritual path is over. That's the problem. And then it is probably very difficult to make up for it in the future, because what we miss now is missing in the next cosmos, so to speak. It will be missing in the next embodiment of the earth. It will be much more difficult to make up for what we have missed now. It is possible in principle, but it will hurt even more there. We have to be aware of that. So the pain increases with every omission, so to speak.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nAnd it has to do with the fact that this pain is actually nothing other than consciousness awakening. Pain is where consciousness reaches its previous limits. For example, even when we get sick, something starts to hurt us. Normally when we say, \"It stings on the side (Wolfang touches a spot below the ribs)<\/i>I don't normally have anything there, I'm unconscious. Normally, when we are healthy, we don't feel very much from the inside of the body. Maybe a little bit of a general feeling of well-being if you pay close attention. But otherwise you don't feel anything. When the pain arises, it means that something is now coming into consciousness, but still very dull, which I don't normally have in my consciousness. Something is waking up. Fortunately, we are usually protected from waking up to our life processes. That we only notice it on the surface. Because in truth there is so much more going on inside than we experience outside. The microcosm inside is much richer than what we see with our senses outside. With pain, an awareness of one's own microcosm inside actually begins to emerge. But an awareness that goes beyond the boundaries of the normal that we are used to. That's where the pain arises. Pain always arises where consciousness goes beyond its limits.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nAnd therefore the path to spiritual perception, if it is to be completely healthy and correct, always has this pain component with it. If, for example, you wake up to a spiritual experience that is only blissful, then you can be one hundred percent sure that the adversaries are behind it. They give us spiritual experiences more easily. If there is not at the same time the pain, I have to do something and I am actually not yet ready, this is also connected with the fact that I feel, yes, actually there is a task for which I am not yet ready. But that's not true! It is always about taking the next step, as I said last time. But that is always the step beyond one's own limits. Everything I have achieved is of no use to me. Nothing at all. I mean, it got me this far. That's all right. But the task starts right at the border. And now I take the one step beyond it, into the absolute empty nothingness and make something out of it. That is the sentence that Manto says to Faust when he descends with her into the underworld, in the second part of the classic Walpurgis Night: \"I love him who desires the impossible.\"<\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nThat is to say, the spiritual task begins where we ask the impossible of ourselves. Namely, that which exceeds our previous possibilities by exactly one step. That is where it continues. Everything we already have is all well and good, and of course we need it, but it doesn't help us for that one step. There we stand before nothing, from which something must come through our strength. There is the test. And not to be afraid of that, to go through it with courage, that is the Michael Kraft<\/b> above all. That is what is actually being celebrated today. This power to go into the darkness, into the uncertainty, into the unpredictable, into the unpredictable and to freely create something new out of it. That is what it is all about. That is the task we face, especially now in our time. It will continue to arise, of course. But we are only now really in a position where we can consciously want this, where we can consciously strive for this. The whole thing really only makes sense when we consciously take these steps. In the past, we took many steps unconsciously or half-consciously. We had the feeling that fate was pushing us here and there. Somehow it happens, because many forces from the spiritual outside have helped. They are now working, or must work, if they are to be effective, consciously through our I. Because we summon them. Because we summon them. And we give them direction.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nThey are only a force that strengthens us, that we have at our disposal, but this force would be blind if we did not guide it. This concerns the highest powers, because they do not want anything of their own accord in terms of further development. They leave this wanting to us. That is why it is our free will. It is only possible under this condition. They only want one thing, to give us freedom. To give us the strength to develop this love and to be able to give it away. And no one is allowed to interfere with that. This is, so to speak, the most sacred principle in the development of humanity: not to interfere in the Will of a human being<\/b> not to intervene, not even in the supposed belief that this will save him from something. You just have to distinguish between ego and ME. Sometimes you can put a damper on the ego and say, please don't be so stupid, stop drinking now, because otherwise you'll only live for another two years at the most. So you can say, don't you want to stop? If you want, I can help you. But in the end you have to want to. It's your ME who has to fight against your ego and struggle with it. That is pain! Isn't it true that if someone is a severe alcoholic, it's hard to give that up? Or if it's a drug addict or something. That's hard as nails!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nBut - that is what saves his I in the end. You have to go through it and of course you are allowed to support it, but your real you has to want it in the end. It has to be ready to take up the fight against the ego. And in the ego, there are also the various dragons. They nibble at it and give us impulses. That is very strong. Because Lucifer cannot approach the I, Ahriman cannot approach it. To a certain extent, the Asuras, this third group, which we will talk about in more detail, can even reach the I. But then we need very strong forces. But then we need very strong forces, but to reach the I, that is only possible when black magic forces are used. That is not yet the great danger. Most people cannot yet develop such powers, which would give the asuras the opportunity to do so. But it will come in the future. Challenges will come our way.<\/p>\n
Yes, this is the task that is addressed at the opening of the fifth seal in truth. I will read it again briefly as a reminder: \"And when it opened the fifth seal, I saw beneath the altar the souls of those who had suffered sacrificial death for the sake of the divine Word and for their witness. And they cried out with a loud voice: Holy and true Lord of the world, how long wilt thou delay in the judgment which our blood atones for the inhabitants of the earth? And to every one of them was given a white robe, and they were told to tarry yet a little while in the world of rest, until the destinies of their fellow servants and their brethren also, who like them would suffer death, were fulfilled.\"<\/i> This is the fifth seal. On the one hand, the fifth seal refers to our present cultural epoch in which we have to develop those spiritual forces, have to in the sense of wanting to, because we can only command ourselves to do it. Only, we have to do it if we want to progress as a ME. I can say I won't do it, but then I'll just stay smaller as a ME and lag behind. It is our free decision. Therefore, every free decision is in truth an absolute obligation. And otherwise it is a \"I would like to do something! I'd like to make the world a better place, but if it's going to be exhausting, I'd rather not.\"\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nIf the impulse really comes from the ME, then I do it. That is a high ideal. Please don't think that everyone can do it and that it won't be a disaster if you fail at it again. Because that will absolutely be the case. The whole story of Faust is a path of uninterrupted failure basically. But it doesn't let up. The impulse is there! Again and again. But it fails. But: \"Whoever strives eternally, we can redeem.\"<\/i> So they say. Not that you think the requirement is that we have to fulfil this ideal one hundred percent. I also used the image last time that the ideal is the North Star, which we navigate by. That is why we will never arrive at the North Star. But it gives us the direction. And that's what the apocalypse wants to do, give us direction. How far we get, we'll just have to see. But it is good to know in which direction we should sail.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nThen the sixth seal is opened, which I don't want to read out again now, where reference is made on the one hand to the sixth cultural epoch, but on the other hand also, as with the fifth, to the time after the cultural epochs. The seals themselves refer to the sixth main period, to the sixth main age, which is after the time of the seven cultural epochs. That begins roughly in the 8th millennium. Our cultural epochs will already be over. Not all people will have incarnated on earth by then, some will already be so far advanced that they will continue to work purely spiritually. But many will still be incarnated on earth. But then it will be a question of these forces that we are developing today, or in the next cultural epoch, being sealed in our being, in the sense that we simply have it available as a force. Now we are learning it. Then we should have it available as a force. That is what is meant by that.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nIn the sixth seal it is very clearly described how this is then a world where all the people who have to some extent reached their goal of development have already fully entered the spiritual world with their consciousness. That is, their state of consciousness will already be a different one, a completely different one than we have today. It will be a state where people will combine the sensual world and the spiritual world, depending on how far they go, which will depend on their individual development. Where that will be the normal state, where one connects these two types of consciousness. And in the same way we can also connect something that can be compared with our intellectual thinking, which is correct and sensible to a certain extent for the outer world, but also has a much higher thinking that is spiritually creative, that is spiritually creative and spiritually perceptive at the same time. That will be the normal state. Therefore, when the sixth seal is opened, it is very clearly described how the whole sense world disappears in its usual form. How it all changes. The stars fall down, the sun darkens, the moon becomes blood-red, etc., the earth quakes, the rocks shatter, this is in truth a typical experience when the breakthrough to spiritual seeing comes. So to the right. Where one really notices how one stumbles over the threshold into the spiritual world or where one notices how one is torn out of the world of the senses in a certain way and enters the spiritual world. Especially the quake, the earthquake, is a very typical experience.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nThose who make this breakthrough will then become the so-called Chosen<\/b> who can really drive further development. Others will initially remain behind, and it is still undecided whether they will reach their goal after all, with the help of the others, many will still be able to achieve it. But there is a certain group that is now leading the way, who will one day be the main carriers of this future development. They will really pull the cart along, so to speak. These are precisely those who were addressed at the opening of the fifth seal, who go through suffering etc., who have gone into sacrificial death, but please do not take all this externally. It is not a matter of externals. Even the suffering that is spoken of is not external, it is not about being injured or anything like that. That is what it is least of all about. These are primitive remedies that will be over relatively soon. It is not easier to bear because of that.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nIt will simply be mental pain. A mental suffering that arises. A suffering that the world is not making enough progress. That will become stronger. And it will be much less possible to heal oneself from this by taking some painkiller to patch it up. It's much more difficult in the spiritual realm. There's no powder that can take that away so easily. Not even if you take some kind of happy pill. Ahriman will compete very hard to come up with something to drive us away from the consciousness of these things. But hopefully, I say hopefully, it will not be enough. Because otherwise we would slacken and fall into Ahriman's temptation: Everything is beautiful. Everything is happy. Everything will be good. Everything will be galactically good. That is the Ahriman. The whole cosmos will be good. That's what he promises us. So get used to recognising the Ahriman by the sympathetic face, the sympathetic smile, the pleasant demeanour. Not as a figure of terror. That is only a distraction. He is to be found where everything looks good. Everything looks pleasant. He really doesn't want anything else! He really does! He wants our best! But he doesn't know our best. That's the problem. And that's why he deceives us. Without actually wanting to deceive us. Because it is the best that he knows. That's what he wants to offer us, nothing else.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nThose who have not circumnavigated these sufferings, but have consciously sought them out, these are the elect. These are the sealed 144 thousand. Now we are over 7 or 8 billion people and of that 144,000 are just chosen? The rest are not? Or how is that meant? The number 144,000 is already the number of the elect. But it is not the number of the elect. One could say it is the number of the Chosen One Indicator<\/b>. That is, it describes a certain spiritual quality. But not in the way we usually use numbers today to count something externally. It is about a certain spiritual symbolism being expressed in these numbers. And that is what it is all about! It may be only 10,000 or it may be 6 or 7 billion or 20 billion if I put them all together. It is open! That's what the development will show. How big the number is. But no matter how big the number is, the quality behind it is described by the 144,000.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nI'll just read it out before we talk about it further. It's titled with a little headline: \"The Sealed 144,000\". <\/i>This is now the seventh chapter of the Apocalypse: \"After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth. What is meant by this? The number 144,000 occurs and the number 12,000 occurs. If you multiply 12,000 by 12, you get 144,000. There is, so to speak, 12 multiplied by itself. What is the number twelve? What comes to mind when you think of the number twelve? First of all, the 12 signs of the Zodiac<\/b>. I.e. the cosmic forces that also play an essential part in our development. The zodiac, which belongs to our earth. Because with this Number twelve<\/b> the whole circle is closed. If you know these 12 forces, then you can foresee all perspectives of development, they are gathered in there, what works around from the whole circle. 12 always means something like completeness. The total scope. We have an image of this, for example, in the human being in the 12 senses that we have, in the 12 apostles that surround the Christ, who stands in the middle as the 13th. But we also have it in the 12 senses of the human being. Those who are not quite familiar with Anthroposophy will say that we have only heard of 5 senses, then there is the 6th sense, but that is already clairvoyance somewhere. No, that's what you think. We have physical 12 senses! Really for the sensory world. Incidentally, this is not only anthroposophical view, but also external science already knows many more senses. Not everything is the same as what we hear from anthroposophy, but much more has already been discovered.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nBy senses, it is not always meant that it is an organ like the eye or the ear. In the case of the ear, it is interesting because, as a sense organ, the larynx and the entire speech and singing apparatus are necessarily part of the ear. They belong together. They are very important. In a stronger or weaker connection, as the case may be. So there is the sense of hearing. But there is also the sense of speech, which is something else entirely. But of course, with the sense of speech, you can usually hear something. And you can usually speak as well. So they belong together. But you also have the sense of speech when you don't hear and at least don't speak outwardly, but when you put on your glasses and painstakingly read what's written in small print. That's where the sense of language also has an effect. So the sense of speech also has something to do with the sense of reading. Suddenly the eyes are involved and feel things out. In other words, the senses in the anthroposophical sense mean certain sensory activities. Not necessarily a single special organ that I can physically grasp. But in most sensory activities several organs work together. That is very important. So with 12 senses in the anthroposophical sense, it means 12 clearly distinguishable sensory activities that exist. I don't want to list them all now. Otherwise it will be a never-ending lecture and we'll still be sitting here at midnight.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nBecause the description of the sensory activities is a huge chapter. It is a hugely exciting chapter and an area where one can very well find the connection, also to external science. Because at least what is there as organs and what is physically necessary as a tool for this, R. Steiner himself says, the sense organs are in principle physical apparatuses. That is what they are. The eye has a similarity to a camera etc., there is even an electrical connection at the back, the optic nerve, so it is even a modern camera, a video camera live from the eyes into the brain. I don't know how you imagine it today, but it's a total starting point for both sides to take a look at it. From external research and from spiritual research. That follows on seamlessly. It's a huge field. Above all, it is also a great spiritual training ground to consciously discover one's own senses and sensory activities to their full extent.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nThe interesting thing is that you think I open my eyes and see the world. No, it's not like that! The child at the beginning, when it is born, already opens its eyes and when it is bright, of course the pupil becomes smaller and the eye reacts to it somehow, but that is it. Once there is a flood of light that is perhaps unpleasant. That's all. No details are perceived yet. And it takes a long time for the child to learn to perceive more and more. And it takes a long time before it perceives objects as objects. Then the sense of touch is added. So we are only learning to see.<\/p>\n
And that is the case with all the senses. We have no sensory activity that we don't have to learn. In animals, much more is innate. Even in the higher animals there is a certain learning phase. It is much shorter than in humans. We have it longer and, above all, we can learn until the end of our lives. Also in sensory activity. That means that before we talk about clairvoyance, we should find out what else we can actually see sensually. Because then we come to the conclusion that we do not yet see most of it. Although we stand in front of it with our eyes. We don't even notice it. There is a difference when someone is intensively occupied with plants, trees and flowers, they see so many details that a layman in the field does not see. Aha, yes, there are beautiful flowers! And that pleases him. That is also good. But someone who has studied flowers for years, perhaps for decades, sees much more. He sees immediately what the flower might be missing. What would it need for a different fertiliser? How could it be cared for differently? Or is it in a place that is too shady or too sunny? Not because the plant is already completely wilted, because then even a layman can see that something is wrong. But because of the subtleties. Where the layman sees nothing. They say everything is fine, everything is beautiful. In reality, the plant is about to die. Anyone who studies it intensively can see that.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nIt's the same with sound! What does a musician hear much more, a trained musical ear, much more than someone who just has pig ears. I'm also referring to myself, I find it very difficult musically. So that's my task in life, to get a bit further. To train the ear. I wasn't born with it. I'm doing quite well with my sight, but not with my ears, not any more, I need glasses. But with the ear, there's nothing that could refine that. There are hearing aids, but they don't refine anything. It's not about the volume. It's about the subtlety of hearing. And being able to grasp that. There is much more to it than the ear as an external organ and the cochlea, there is much more to it. So even the ear is much bigger in truth, all the activity that is necessary for that. And so for all the senses. That means that if we want to be fully human, we have to go through the twelve signs of the zodiac, for example in the area of the senses, through all 12 sense organs. Then we are only complete as a human being, or at least as humanity, if there are groups that have developed one well and other groups that have developed the other well. This must work together. That is connected with the number twelve.<\/p>\n
And that has to do with the fact that there are 12 tribes, that's what they're called now, where there are 12,000 people in each. 12,000 members. So each tribe in itself must seek this completeness. That is expressed in the number twelve. And then another 12 such tribes have to work together so that it becomes the whole of humanity in the first place. This is an interesting image, without wanting to go into it in detail now. Because in fact the people who made it this way have a certain idea. You know the European flag, the blue flag with the 12 stars. It never meant the number of members. That is a misinterpretation. It has to do with the zodiac. With the forces of the zodiac. Ultimately, what is meant is that Europe should gather together the forces of the entire zodiac. That is far in the background. Of course, it is not in the official documents. Whether today's EU, as it is doing now, really comes closer to this goal is another question. I don't want to discuss that now. But intellectually, that's what's behind it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nIn fact, it is also a goal that humanity will develop in such a way in the future or should develop in such a way that there are peoples who achieve the principle of the twelve, that is, this completeness, and that all these peoples also work together again in the sense of the twelve. Because only when we have that can we justifiably speak of humanity. Not true, then it will be realised. That is to say, it will hopefully be fulfilled to a large extent in the next cultural epoch, at least that all the forces will then be so internalised, sealed, that they will be present in humanity and will then be available in the next main age, the sixth main age, after the opening of the sixth seal. With the Twelve Tribes of Israel<\/b> is in fact, if you read it in today's sense, not only the people of Israel, but Israel has always meant the people of God, i.e. the people who really strive for spiritual development. This does not only refer to the Jewish people of the Israelites, but to all people in truth who are striving spiritually. That is what is meant by this in truth.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nSo the twelve number contains the zodiac. Why 12,000? Why not just 12 people from 12 tribes? That would perhaps be a little poor, so that it looks like more, let's say 12,000. That is a little more realistic! But there is an important symbolism in the number 12,000. Let's take just the number one thousand (1,000). That is a zero, another zero, another zero and a one in front of it. Now the question is: What do the zeros mean and what does the one mean? Not in the mathematical sense but in the symbolic sense. The Zero<\/b> is quite an interesting number, which the Greeks did not know originally. So the Europeans didn't know it either at first, but it only came to us via the Arabs. The Arabs got it from the Indians. The Indians were inspired by the Babylonians and Chaldeans, who also worked with the zodiac. Both the number twelve and, to a certain extent, the zero come from them, because they had certain blanks in their number system. The blanks were not specifically named, but there was always a blank somewhere inside their calculations. That is, where we have the zeros today.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nThe Indians then adopted this. And were aware: Yes, zero represents the absolute void. Sunjatrem<\/i> in Sanskrit. And that was very important to them. Because the emptiness, the nothingness in a way, that is the space from which something creative can come out. But it is also the space in which a fully developed force withdraws. It is not true that the creative arises out of emptiness, develops, by being creatively active its creative power becomes stronger, then the outer appearance withdraws again and the whole finally disappears again into the purely spiritual. That is, externally into nothingness. And when I say external, I do not mean only the sensual world as the external, but ultimately the life forces, the etheric, that is also something external to the spiritual, the soul world, the soul is also something external to the spiritual. And in the so-called spiritual, it goes even further: we have already spoken of it the last few times: There is the formed spiritual and there is the unformed spiritual, the unformed spiritual is like an archetype that is not yet exactly fixed, from which something can creatively arise. With the archetype, you already come very close to this nothingness, but actually it is still a step behind it. It lies above what is normally called the spiritual world. This nothing into which everything withdraws and from which everything comes, that is what is meant by zero in truth. But this zero is a nothing from which an incredible amount can arise. And when it goes back into the zero, then this zero has become stronger and in the next step can bring forth a new even more perfect world, if you want to call it that. So the creative power becomes greater and greater each time.<\/p>\n
Yes, now let's take a look at how it is with our earth's development. Our earth was preceded by the Old moon<\/b>, the Cosmos of Wisdom, as we have also called it, before the Old Moon there was the Old Sun<\/b> and in front of the Old Sun there was the Old Saturn<\/b>. Then one can no longer speak of before, because time, somehow comparable in our sense, only begins there. And yet, in the beginning, there is already a tremendous creative force. Out of this initial zero something comes into being, is finished and this power now stretches inside and spiritualises itself, namely this power that formed the Old Saturn, that is the first zero that we have. Then out of this zero a new cosmos is born, the Old Sun, that is, a great One, One now stands for coming into external appearance, but this Old Sun is also finished at some point, its creative power goes back into the spiritual and it becomes a zero, the second zero. So the first zero is Old Saturn, the second zero is the Old Sun, completely spiritualised. Externally, nothingness. Emptiness. That is the zero. But this zero is fertile, it is also called an egg, the egg from which a new creation springs. And so something new now springs forth again from the Old Sun, namely the world of the Old Moon, the Cosmos of Wisdom. In the end, this cosmos spiritualises itself again and we have the third egg, which are now already proper eggs, ostrich eggs. Out of this last egg comes our earth evolution, which is now unfolding, again marked by a One.<\/p>\n
This gives us the number one thousand (1,000). And this now multiplied by the 12 zodiacal forces - this is what is referred to here. I.e., something that has already matured in the past comes to a tremendous spiritual creative force that is now available as an egg. And not just once, but three times in a row. And this is to unfold now not only as a One, but in 12 facets, in the 12 facets of the zodiac. That's why the number is not a thousand (1,000) but 12,000. For each human community, there should be 12 such human communities, but now also in a qualitative sense, so that the whole of humanity comes into being, really comes into being, so that one can really say that it is now the whole of humanity. So all those who just go along with it. But these are the chosen ones. The picture is to be read with this symbolism in the background. It has nothing at all to do with the outer number. Yet there are many other interesting things in the number twelve. Twelve, for example, is 4 x 3 or 3 x 4, as you like to call it. Four and three.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nThree<\/b> is a number that has something to do with mobility. Three, turn, rotate, these are not connected by chance. It's already in the word. And even if you can feel a little bit, if there are three points, then it gets a certain dynamic. If there are only two dots, or even if there are four, it is somehow more rigid. The three is always somewhere inside the movement. A zodiac with four zodiac signs would not be a real zodiac. That has to have the three added to it as well, so that that also gets a movement. The element of movement: This movement has its origin in the willpower, which comes from the soul! That is actually where the impulse for movement is. This impulse of movement can, however, unfold in three ways, namely in the human being as: as Want<\/b>, as Feel<\/b> and as Think<\/b>. In thinking, the movement is brought to a standstill, at least as today's intellectual thinking is. There it dies. It comes from the will, it vibrates in the feeling and dies in the thinking. In intellectual thinking. Not in living thinking, where it remains alive. Thinking, feeling, willing - that has a lot to do with the triple number.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nWhat has the Four<\/b>What do we have to do with the number four? What comes to mind? Well, for example, the four limbs of human life: 1) physical body<\/b>We know that physical and material are not quite the same thing, but let's leave that for today. Physical body, if it were only the physical, then it would actually be a corpse. If it were to follow only physical-chemical laws, it would be merely a corpse; in order for it to be animated, the life body, the body of image forces, must be behind it, Etheric body<\/b> The second element of the human being, but for this reason it is not yet animated; in order for animating to take place at all, i.e. for there to be consciousness, in any case rather a dream-like consciousness, the 3) Astral body<\/b> come into it. The astral body is again connected with the cosmic forces, with the star forces. Incidentally, the number twelve is already hidden inside, because the soul forces are connected with the whole cosmos outside. ICH carrier<\/b> that which modifies the whole form in such a way that the I can embody itself in it. Sometimes R. Steiner uses this term quite consciously: I-carrier. And not just \"I\". This is the short form of saying: physical body, etheric body, astral body and I. But the I is nothing more than a body. But the I is no longer something physical, it is something spiritual. But it needs a bodily carrier and that is the I-carrier.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nSo now we have four elements. Four elements of the human being: physical body, etheric body, astral body and I-body. The soul is now working in there in thinking, feeling and willing, for example. It needs this tool. We need all these 4 members of the body so that thinking - feeling - wanting, as we have it here in the earthly. In order for this to unfold, it needs the bodily tool. Therefore it is also clear that thinking, feeling and willing take on a different character after death. Namely, when these bodily shells are no longer there in form. Because the physical body falls away with death, one can say that it will decompose sooner or later. The etheric body, the life forces, also dissipate. This dissipation of the etheric forces is exactly what those who are left behind, who were strongly connected with the dead, who have passed on, feel very strongly in their lives in truth. The grief that one feels, the real grief, is connected with the fact that the life forces that one shared with the other person are actually gone. Where there is a strong relationship with the person, one has a part of these etheric forces in common. They are shared. Something falls away. That actually means a loss of one's own etheric powers. That means you have to deal with it very consciously.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nIt is of no use at all, even if I am clairvoyant and can follow the dead person as he goes into the spiritual world, with regard to the etheric forces it is of no use to me. They are gone. They go out into the world and are no longer available to me. You have to come to terms with that. You have to face it consciously. You have to say, yes, now I have to build up certain etheric powers, which I simply received as a gift from the other person or people with whom I was connected. Such things also happen, for example, when a certain community of destiny breaks up for some reason. That is, the other person doesn't have to die, but when it dissipates, there is a community of some people who have done something with each other, when they part, no matter whether it is because they part amicably at first or because they part in a quarrel, but when they part, these shared etheric forces dissolve. That can be very fruitful for the world outside. This is not necessarily to be seen negatively, but it can be very good that a certain community does something for 10, 20 or 30 years, and then says our task is done, we part, and these life forces pass into the world. This has effects, especially in the social sphere. This is nothing negative, but you have to be aware that you then have to supplement these etheric forces for yourself. Otherwise, this can really mean problems in the area of health.<\/p>\n
Because life forces are the ones that keep us healthy. They are also the forces that enable us to think in a truly living way. That is to say, a loss is possible there too. These powers of thinking are at the same time, as we have them in earthly life, something which we then also seize for the physical brain and there they die. And it is precisely this, when we would\/should\/want to make the transition today in truth from mere intellectual thinking to creative living thinking, that is the step that is due here and now, even overdue. It should actually have already happened in the 20th century, but there were such strong counter-impulses that it only happened to a very small extent. Of course, there were quite a few people who succeeded in doing this, who developed a very lively way of thinking, but it did not shape the culture. That would have to happen in the scientific field as well. Especially there. Because the scientific field is suffering today, and I say really suffering, even if many people are not aware of it, but it is suffering from the fact that it is sinking more and more into the dying thinking of reason. People only believe that what can be put into clear intellectual definitions, what can be clearly calculated mathematically, can only be found in scientific truth. It is going more and more in that direction.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nAnd that is not true. Because with this I really only grasp what is dying, with this I cannot grasp anything living, with this I cannot understand anything, for example, about the development of life on earth, for example, biology or so cannot be brought to its real task with this thinking, namely to understand life. Today we understand a lot about chemical and physical processes in cells, etc. We know a lot. I am not criticising that at all. We should continue to research. We need it. Because these forces are inside. They are necessary as a framework to carry us. But in order to understand life, I have to get to the next level. And I can only get there if my thinking changes. Because for intellectual thinking, these forces are simply no longer present, because they have died. Therefore, I cannot grasp life with intellectual thinking. I have to have artistic thinking. Therefore, faith, for example, is so wrong that there is always a big discussion in America: Evolutionary theory<\/b>Darwinian doctrine or neo-Darwinian evolutionary doctrine, in many stages as it has evolved, as opposed to, there are the people who talk of the\u00a0 <\/span>Intelligent Design<\/b> because the good Lord created the world and that should be in there somewhere. The others of course rail against it, such nonsense, now the good Lord is coming through the back door again, where you don't know any further, he has done some hocus-pocus and there it is inside. And they argue!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nThe Darwinists say that these are laws of nature and chance, and they play together and what works, that remains, and that's how everything in nature develops, and the rest just dies out and is gone. And the others say, no, the Creator has designed nature in a meaningful way according to a great plan of creation. Well, both are wrong in truth. For on the one hand it is really not just blind chance that is active, but it is even less the case that the dear God has the finished world plan in some drawer in his heavenly office, down to the smallest detail, and everything is predetermined as to how it will develop down there. Complete nonsense. It is a spiritual-creative process, and nothing is fixed from the start, but it always manifests itself in the moment. We have also said how much the human being cooperates. Nature is not finished. Nature is on the way to being shaped into culture by human beings. And the process is anything but, well, we tend to want to make it a design process today. In other words, how are we going to reshape nature? Do we make some kind of plan beforehand? Do we calculate everything. Whether it will work is another question. In other words, the transformation of nature, the real meaningful transformation of nature, will not essentially work in this way, but it will at least also need the artistic-creative element.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nThe design element has something to it. It is connected with the laws of nature that come from the Old Moon. It's true that everything has to adapt to them. There is no pardon for that. The laws of nature will not be overturned. The good Lord least of all overturns them. Because people always believe that a miracle, a miracle, is where the laws of nature are suddenly suspended. That is the greatest nonsense. The real miracle is that they exist. But it is not in their suspension that God proves himself. It only shows that in the past, before our cosmos came into being, many spiritual beings worked very diligently to ensure that these laws of nature existed. Now! And they are binding for our earth's development. All spiritual beings are really bound by them because they have bound themselves to them. They do not want to change them. But these laws of nature also contain enormous leeway, so that I basically cannot predict the most important things at all. The laws of nature give the whole earth cosmos a certain stability, a certain security, of which I already spoke at the beginning, which is necessary for us to be able to develop clearly at all as I-conscious beings, as free I-conscious beings. For this we need a certain strict order that is also there. But it must not be so strict that nothing more is possible in freedom. But, as the beautiful poet says: \"It is in the limitation that the master shows himself.\"<\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nI.e. we are limited by laws and within that we have infinite scope in truth. Infinite possibilities that we can unfold. We are not working in a blind chaos, of which there is nothing yet, but it has gone through three cosmic stages of development. In the process, the laws of nature that now underlie our earth have finally come into being. They give a certain order. But this order is permissive. It is actually the raw material, one could say, to be shaped artistically-spiritually-creatively. The whole evolutionary process is a spiritual-creative-creative process in which the actual, the essential is nowhere predictable. Nevertheless, it is based on natural laws. I.e. there is a certain order, certain things will be possible and others will not be possible. But, no matter how narrow the range is, an infinite number of things are possible within it. How many real numbers are there between zero and one? That is, numbers with decimal places. Every decimal number can have an infinite number of decimal places. So there are infinitely many numbers between zero and one. And likewise between one and two, there are infinitely many numbers. And so it goes on. That is, in the narrowest range, even between 0.1 and 0.2, there are infinitely many numbers. I can go tighter and tighter, I can make it smaller and smaller, and there are still infinitely many numbers in between. If I just take the decimal numbers. Because decimal numbers can have an infinite number of digits.<\/p>\n
So you can still be infinite in the smallest. And you can imagine it like that, the world has become very narrow through the laws of nature, it no longer goes there and there, but it goes in that direction, but inside there are infinite possibilities. And these then reveal themselves in nature in the form of evolution in the form of the plants that come out, in the form of the animals that come out, and we participate in this spiritually. When we then pass through the spiritual world after death above all. Of course, also externally through breeding, etc., we work externally from one side, but since man entered the earth halfway in form, he has begun to change the animal kingdom and the plant kingdom. He has not left it as it is. Even more so since the time of agriculture, that is, since sedentarisation, the taming of the animals, which gave rise to domestic animals, we have had an influence. We have started to design, because we have made it according to our wishes and ideas, so right from the start, reason, usefulness, etc. also come into it. You can see that it already starts in the Urpersian time, before people can consciously think intellectually, but in their actions they already have something certain planned inside. We are the intelligent<\/i> or less intelligent designer<\/i>the more failed or less failed designers. So this term intelligent design<\/i> or \"God has made his plan\", that's what we have of ourselves. That's why we believe that, because that's how we approach it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nActually, one should approach the transformation of nature beyond this mere design in an artistic-creative way. Then it becomes something meaningful. A creative-spiritual impulse would come into the whole. Because the mind can only take existing things apart, take them apart and put them together again. You can do genetic engineering, ok, I cut a piece out of the genes and put it into another being, aha, now I have a mouse that grows a human ear on its back. Crotesque! There have been experiments like that. I mean, the poor mouse. It didn't hurt it, but it's grotesque. That's what happens Design<\/i>. That can be tasteful or not so tasteful. What else has been made? A rabbit glowing green in the night. Yes, it works, sure. Because there are, like fireflies or something, animals that glow at night. I can transfer that to another animal, of course. Don't hurt it any more. But whether that is necessarily the direction in which the transformation of nature should lead is another question. That is basically just a mindless stupid gimmick. So that's not the way we should change nature. That is Design<\/i>. Intelligent<\/i> I'll leave out now.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nNo, shaping nature artistically, shaping it spiritually-creatively. That is what is now coming more and more to us. That will be the task. The weather, the climate, everything. We will have to consciously cooperate in everything. If we don't, then it will become most catastrophic. So the thought is completely wrong, the best thing is for people to take their fingers out of nature and do nothing more, then everything will be fine. Because we only destroy anyway! If we don't cooperate, then it will be destroyed in the worst way. If we cooperate wrongly, by giving too much leeway to Ahriman, then it will take a little longer for it to become completely bad, but it won't be very good either. If we work artistically-creatively-spiritually-creatively, i.e. work out of the principle of love, because creativity, I-power, spiritual power means being able to give oneself away in love, then we will transform the earth in a good way. And then we will take most of it with us, so that our earth, once it has passed away externally, will become a proper ostrich egg, in which there is a tremendous creative power. Because when it then passes over into the New Jerusalem, there will be one egg more. Then there will be the egg of Old Saturn, the egg of the Old Sun, the egg of the Old Moon, and then we will also have laid an egg. Now the question is whether it is an ostrich egg, a hen's egg or a quail's egg or something like that? I won't say anything about the quality. But that's where the whole thing is heading. Collaborate!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nAnd really work together as a community of people, as a community of humanity. That is what is meant by the 144,000 chosen ones. But they take many others with them through their help. And that is what I would like to read at the end. Because then we come to the seventh seal. So I'll continue reading in the seventh chapter of the Apocalypse: \"The great multitude in white robes.\" <\/i>Now a great multitude is coming. Before there were those who were characterised by the number 144,000, and now there are those who still go beyond that, who perhaps do not have all these powers within them, but who have nevertheless come so far that they have become spiritually pure and therefore wear this white robe. These are actually their shells. Their soul, their life forces, their physical, as far as they still have it, if they do not already live in the spiritual.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\"After this I saw: Behold, a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation and tribe and race and language. They stood before the throne and the Lamb, clothed in white robes, palm branches in their hands. And they cried with a loud voice: Hail to our God, the Throne, and to the Lamb. And all the angels stood in cries around the throne, and around the elders, and around the four beasts, and they fell down on their faces before the throne in worship of the divine ground of the world, and said: Amen, the word of blessing, the revelation, the wisdom, the sacrifice of thanksgiving, the dignity of the soul, the power of the world and the strength of the spirit, they belong to our God for all eons. Amen.\"<\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nAmen again. We know from the past lectures, I hope you remember, Amen is even more, or there is more behind this word than simply using it in prayers. Amen means the so-called final being. That which can become of man. I deliberately say: can become. How far it becomes, how far this Amen is really realised by the whole of humanity, that is the question. That is up to us. But with Amen is meant what can become of the human being through the development of the earth. That is what is meant in there. In a way it means that he would have the full Christ power developed in him. Then it would be complete. That is, if that which lies within the Christ as the world I had also realised the individual I. We shall see. We shall see. That is up to each individual.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nAnd here very consciously included in the saying, it begins with Amen and it ends with Amen. And the strength of spirit. We can bring all this into this final being, Amen. \"And one of the elders answered and said unto me, Who are these that are clothed in white robes? Whence come they? And I said, Lord, thou knowest. And he said unto me, They are they which come out of great sorrow. They have washed their robes and made them shining white by the blood of the Lamb.\" <\/i>So of the Christ! \"Therefore they can stand before the divine throne and serve him day and night in his temple. And the Throne One rules and tents over them. They will hunger no more and thirst no more; they can no more be overcome by the heat of the sun or any other firebrand. For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd and their guide to the springs from which the water of life flows. And the Father God will wipe away all tears from their eyes.\"<\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nSo there is now absolutely described the transition into a purely spiritual existence. Not true, the heat of the sun, the fires, all that will no longer overwhelm them, but they will stand with the Lamb, the Lamb in the middle of the throne will be their shepherd and their guide to the springs from which the water of life flows. So there is already the transition for these chosen ones into the ethereal world. There flows the water of life. The water of life, which we can also always drink there, for example, where we pass from mere intellectual thinking into living thinking. There, too, we drink from the water of life, as it were. And that actually has an effect on our health. So if a person manages to develop this living-creative-creative thinking already here on earth, then he also strengthens his health.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nMight be a tip, but it won't make the papers because of the Corona crisis. To do something about it. I have the impression, if I exaggerate a bit, but I mean it seriously, that what is happening today around the Corona story is more like a global mental illness. In the way it is being dealt with. I don't want to blame anyone for that. But the way it is presented now, the way it is reacted to, the way it is dealt with, you can see that on the whole everyone is helpless before it. Measures are being taken, many of which are okay, but many of which are not okay. Absolutely not okay. It is not okay how the data, the figures are handled, where certain things are selected very selectively in order to implement certain measures. Where other things are thrown under the bus. Where it is not admitted that the numbers are to a large extent house numbers, because the methods of recording are very different, for a while, especially at the beginning, it was like this, you tested a hundred people today and the next day you tested 500, oh God, huge increase. Well of course the next day I have 5 x as many. Because I tested five times as many. It's written so quietly here and there as a footnote today. You think you're already over it today. But until today, one has neglected to really state the numbers like that.<\/p>\n
The data and figures are to a large extent house numbers, especially the way they are published. If they don't say how many have been tested, how many people have been tested, that would have to be estimated, they just give the numbers, today it's a hundred, tomorrow it'll be five hundred. If I test more people, there will be more and more infected people. It doesn't show how big the increase really is. The increase is only the increase in the number of infected cases. But it doesn't give an estimate of how much it has really increased in the population, because the more I test, the more cases I detect, that's quite clear. That's just one of the examples. But there are more examples of the public not being careful with the numbers. Where expert opinions, until then globally recognised expert opinions, which do not fit into the picture, are simply completely blanked out, sometimes even defamed. And where in some cases, and this has to be said from a scientific point of view, measures are taken that are really counterproductive. Continuously disinfecting everything everywhere with disinfectants is certainly the best way to breed resistance. That is quite clear. So you can really overdo it. The problem cannot be solved by simply wiping away the virus. In truth, the experts know that. But these are things that are sold to the public anyway, because it somehow reassures people. Spray it and it will be good.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nAnd the next point is, there will be vaccination, then everything will be fine. Corona crisis will be over when there is vaccination. That is absolute nonsense. How good or bad the vaccination is, we will perhaps be able to judge after years. It would be very beneficial if people would take more time to test it slowly and not develop it at this hellish pace and gallop through the test phases practically in one go.\u00a0 <\/span>In truth, this is irresponsible. I say that quite clearly. Even though it is listed on anthro.world. So everyone in the world can hear it. I hope I don't get arrested for it. But it doesn't matter, without me wanting to blame anyone, because now there are a hundred thousand conspiracy theories, they are to blame and they have those interests and the pharmaceutical industry, well sure they want to earn something from it, that's clear, but basically all the conspiracy theories are pointless. The conspiracy arises in the majority of humanity because the thinking is not right. Even normal scientific thinking is not right. We live in a world of illusion today. And more and more people think it is reality. That's what goes through the press, that's what goes through the media. But that is not, and I am not even talking about the spiritual background, but only about what is happening on the outside in a way that can be perceived by the senses. We can't even get to that today. Especially not through the many media. Basically, an artificial world is being created that has been passed off for reality, and that's what I understand by mental illness. Or delusion. A global-collective delusion that many people also fall prey to. But in any case it is the delusion that is publicly proclaimed. I can't tell you now what the real numbers are and what the reality behind it is, I can only say that what is being presented is certainly not. That is the point.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nWe also have to achieve this, to break through to reality again. We are actually moving away from the perception of reality. We are living more and more in a virtual reality<\/i>, in other words, in a virtual world. We don't need to put on 3D glasses, we just need to listen to the news and read the newspapers. That is enough. None of this tells us how the world really is. That's the problem we have today. To see through this, to see through the fact that it is like this, means to recognise the Ahriman who is behind it. He is behind it in truth. He does that. So if there is a conspiracy theory, then it is that Ahriman is behind it and that he is trying to involve everyone. Everyone! So everyone is a conspirator! Everyone who thinks along these lines is a conspirator. We don't need individual groups. We don't need any esoteric circles or lodges, they all do a lot, but they are also all just tools of a spiritual power that is behind it in truth. We have to be aware that everyone has to start with himself to discover the Lord Ahriman, how he drives around in our own thinking and gives us impulses. And they are so seductive because we are trained for them, the whole education system is trained for these impulses, they just come, we know it anyway, our mind says logically, that's how it has to be, but the logic is just not right. It is misguided.<\/p>\n
Finally, the opening of the 7th seal. I read it without comment. We will take it up next time. So the opening of the 7th seal and the 7 angels with the trumpets, i.e. when the 7th seal is opened, the trumpets already show themselves, then it already goes to the next level: \"And when the Lamb opened the seventh seal, there was a profound silence in the spirit world for half a round of time. And I saw the seven angels standing before the Father God, and seven trumpets were given to them. And another angel came and stood at the altar with a golden censer. Much incense was given to him, that he might offer it to the prayers of all the devotees of the Spirit on the golden altar in view of the throne. It's closing again. Well, certainly, when the seals are opened, especially where we read about the opening of the 6th seal, where the breakthrough to the spiritual comes, it was very dramatic, the description of the sun turning black and the stars falling down, that's not without its problems. Now comes another step, because now we move from imagination, from the spiritual experience that is pictorial in the broadest sense, to inspiration. Inspiration means we begin to understand even more deeply what is there, we connect even more deeply with the thing. Well, of course, it becomes even more shattering. With the images we have had, we have had the outside. The outside that lies dormant behind the surface of the sensual. But this imagination is only the outside now of the spiritual world. With inspiration it goes deeper, the shock becomes even greater. And when the bowls of wrath are poured out at the end, the experience becomes even stronger. But I have already indicated, we will go into this very intensively in later lectures, the pouring out of the bowls of wrath is an expression of God's love. The highest love you can imagine.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nWe will certainly need some more time to grasp the images correctly so that we do not draw the wrong conclusions from them. It won't be easy, but actually the images are meant to give us courage. But we need courage when we have to fulfil tasks, overcome hurdles, they are also in there. We need courage for that. But the images are actually meant to give us strength. If the shocks are getting stronger and stronger, that also means that our strength is getting stronger and stronger. We can tame these forces, we can control them, we can cope with them. Each of us in our own individual way, and all of us together, ultimately, as humanity. I repeat: it is not about scaring anyone. We have the power. We have it at our disposal. And the whole thing is just a wake-up call: people, take your power, develop it, let it out and use it. You can do it! But you have to want it. No one else can want it for you. Not even the Christ. Not even all the hierarchies. You have to want it yourselves. These upheavals are only the shadow image of the powers that we actually have at our disposal. Namely, to cope with all this. YES, it is the reflection. We have to wake up to consciousness! That's why the terrible pictures are shown and not the beautiful pictures like: \"Mei great, there it will be beautiful when we come to the end of the earth's development, finally we are in paradise and everything is good.\" Then we can't do anything else but dream now about how beautiful it will be perhaps - only it won't be. Because then we will miss our way. Then we will live in the beautiful new world of Ahriman. And whether it is really so beautiful is another question. Whether we really want it. Namely, to live in eternal uniform bliss without any development. One day like the other, one year like the other. No more change even in the spiritual world. Everything remains as it is. No more ascending, no more falling down. Eternal. That is the world that Ahriman can offer us. Whoever wants this will choose this world. Whoever sees that man has an unlimited future in principle and unlimited possibilities, can make the impossible possible, will choose differently. This is what the Apocalypse points out to us.
