I was fascinated by the topic of money from an early age because I could use it to fulfil my small and bigger dreams!
But I also remembered a puzzling, disturbing image of a grain crop being destroyed in the sea! Much later I found out that this was an attempt to counteract the drop in prices.
At school I learned about the Experiment from Wörglwhich is also known as the (money) miracle of Wörgl. Helmut Creutz introduced me to the numerous negative sides of money (exploitation of labour, destruction of nature, gap between rich and poor, etc.) in his book The money syndrome in my mind's eye. Later, I also began to understand that even wars were (and are) waged to secure markets for products or to obtain raw materials cheaply.
So we are undoubtedly facing many and big problems related to economic and financial issues.
But how many of you believe - as I do - that we can actually solve these problems? I mean in real possible ways that could start in small ways. I deliberately do not include "political solutions" on a grand scale.
Doing business is a social activity. Ideas, thoughts and perceptions play a decisive role in how we judge and orient this activity.
But what do YOU think about the economy? What ideas, thoughts and perceptions do you have?
Socially effective ideas become real when they are supported by many people. For example, we could bring about a different way of doing business if enough of us share the ideas.
It would be wonderful if a social impulse were to emerge on Anthro.World that has the power to grow into the future!

How do we go about it?
I'll just send out my questions:
Who among you is interested in a healthier economy?
Where do YOU see the problems?
How could these problems be solved?

About me

My name is Oliver Brändli and I studied pharmacy and worked for several years in the pharmacy and pharmaceutical industry in Switzerland and Japan as an employee. I have been living in Japan since 2007. You could call my heart topic "money and economics", because I have been dealing with it for a very long time. In the meantime, the topic for me also includes society as a whole and epistemology.
